Being Squirrel

Two Squirrel Girls and a Bowl of Pasta

Recently, I took a trip to New York for business and some play time with a fellow Squirrel Girl. My first NY post was so popular that I was inspired to share with  you my trip to the big apple part deux! (Above picture-tops by Maje).

Last time I stayed at the Greenwich Hotel, located in Tribeca, which we still love. This trip we decided to check out the Bowery Hotel, located in the happening East Village. Our stay was welcomed with kind, eager to please staff, and a great restaurant called Gemma. Luckily, we were given a high corner room. Below is a pic of the rain shower bathtub. Need I say more?

Squirrel Tip: When booking hotel rooms, always ask for a high corner room…they tend to be much bigger and have more windows.

The first night we ate at my favorite Italian eatery, Lavagna. The quaint boutique restaurant has an amaze tin roof and ambienence that can make you fall in love all over again.

Lavagna’s Rigatoni pasta. Let’s just say we finished one bowl and ordered another..not joking!

My fave guy in NY, Giorgio the owner of Lavagna. Swoon 🙂

(I am wearing Isabel Marant top, Current Elliot Stiletto skinny jeans and Lucky Brand men’s belt).

Yes, we did this for breakfast. Now this is bacon! (Peels Restaurant)

How can you not love New York?

The second night we at a Lafayette, which is French bistro in the Nola district.

We had steak frites, and black seafood pasta. The frites are still sticking around in places they shouldn’t be! 🙁

The third night I went and visited a friend and her newly renovated loft that overlooks the Hudson River. Must work harder! 🙂

We ate at Macelleria Steakhouse in the Meat Packing District on our last night. An oldie but goodie!

Random tree guy walking the streets. Thoughts?

A room with a view…until next time New York. Bon nuit!

The best part of coming home is reuniting with my Chi’s. It feels so good!. Vesper is obviously happy to see me!
